“With the stopwatch in hand, VISIO Pro proved to be the answer.”
Immagine, a large-format print business with almost forty years of history, spent months seeking a solution to its routing bottleneck. The choice was based on timed tests; in production, average routing times fell to one third of their previous level.

Our history
The digital cutter was busy from morning to night.
Immagine S.r.l., based in Sandigliano near Biella, was founded by Franco Marini and is now run by brothers Pablo and Gianni Marini. Originally focused on very-large-format screen printing, the business now serves exhibition, interior and retail projects. A 3.2 m digital cutter has handled finishing since 2017. By late 2024 it was fully booked, with routing becoming the bottleneck: rejected jobs, overtime and an increasingly diverse material mix.
The search considered all suppliers. Immagine met Automa at Viscom 2024, then at a Fenix DG event in early 2025 and the MCA Digital open house in July. In autumn, VISIO Pro underwent intensive tests on Immagine's everyday materials. The order followed in December 2025, with installation in January 2026.
“The digital cutter was busy from morning to night. With the stopwatch in hand, we concluded that VISIO Pro would solve the bottleneck.”
The configuration
VISIO Pro with a 3 × 2 m bed, 6.5 kW spindle and multi-tool head for cutting and creasing alongside routing. Operators immediately appreciated the low vacuum bed without a conveyor.
“Without a conveyor, there is no need for cutting mats and cleaning the bed is simpler.”
The results
Average routing times fell to one third of their previous level. An order for 15,000 Dibond plaques, previously considered unmanageable, was accepted and delivered. With the machine in production, Immagine sees the potential to reinvest in a second VISIO Pro in the near term: a possibility, not an order already placed.
